    ABOUT MARIE VERONIQUE

    Marie-Veronique Nadeau is a chemist who founded Marie Veronique in 2002. An inventor at heart who suffered from teenage acne, she was moved to create her own products when she could find nothing on the market that was clean and effective to address her rosacea. From there, she went on to develop a line for acne and was one of the first to formulate a non-nano zinc oxide sunscreen. She continues to lead the way towards safe yet effective skincare, determined to move an industry ensconced in hype into the realm of science. She is a trained esthetician, holds degrees in Math and Science, and is a former high school chemistry teacher. She collaborates with her daughter, Jay Nadeau, physicist and bio-medical engineer, to carefully choose each ingredient in her products to solve real skin issues and address the causes of aging at the source.

An essential—and arguably the most important—step in any daily skincare regimen, Color Free Daily Sunscreen combines zinc oxide and natural ingredients for UVB and UVA protection, even into the high energy visible light range (HEV). Its silky texture penetrates quickly and disappears completely into the skin, making it an excellent choice for all skin tones, as well as for men.

    All sunscreens are not created equal, especially when it comes to safe ingredients. Zinc oxide is the only sunscreen agent that is completely safe, because it is photostable. Sunscreens that contain chemicals or minerals, such as titanium dioxide, can break down in the presence of UV and generate their own free radicals. With 18% non-nano zinc oxide, our Color Free Daily Sunscreen provides maximum protection against premature aging by reflecting UV, HEV (High Energy Visible) and infrared radiation that damages cells via free radical generation.

    BENEFITS

    ZINC OXIDE ONLY The only safe and completely natural sunscreen filter that reflects UV rays, this formula excludes mineral and chemical agents like titanium dioxide and avobenzone—standard ingredients in the majority of chemical sunscreens—that work by absorbing UV rays, ultimately generating free radicals that are harmful to the skin.

    NON-NANO ZINC OXIDE Non-nano ZnO provides safe protection in the UVB (280 to 315 nm), UVA (315 to 400 nm) and HEV (400 to 700 nm) ranges. Zinc oxide is the most photostable of all sunscreen agents, and its anti-inflammatory properties benefit even the most sensitive skin.

    RECOMMENDED USE

    If used as directed with other sun protection measures (see Directions) decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun and helps prevent sunburn.

    DIRECTIONS

    Apply liberally to the face/neck/chest after serum(s) + oil. Start from the center of the face and blend outward until even. (Note: product may take 1-2 minutes to become colorless). Apply 30 mins prior to sun exposure, reapplying every two hours and immediately after swimming or excessive sweating.
