Gentle Retinol Night Serum
(formerly Gentle Retinol Serum)
Miraculously gentle and safe: RETINOL+VITAMIN C
1oz | 30ml
Forty years of studies prove retinol's extraordinary age delaying capabilities, and just as many studies show the powerful effects of Vitamin C, especially when combined with Vitamin E. More recent studies show how A, C and E work together to support superior collagen-building and antioxidant effects. Our high tech formula permits anhydrous Vitamin C and microencapsulated retinol, with stabilization assist from Vitamin E, to coexist to deliver near-miraculous results.
Retinol is the safe Vitamin A derivative, not to be confused with retinyl palmitate, which one study shows may enhance tumor growth in the presence of UV, or isotretinoin, which dermatologists prescribe for severe acne.
Gentle Retinol Night Serum is for aging skin and Treatment Retinol is for acne related issues--same formulation but different categories because your additional products will be different depending on what your skin care concern is.
Boosts collagen production and speeds cell turnover with retinol and Vitamin C to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
Clears pores and controls breakouts.
Delivers the same results as a Retin-A products but without the irritation.

Use at night only. Shake well before each use. Apply a thin layer of Gentle Retinol Night Serum after cleansing and misting. Follow that with an application of our recommended oil blend, Rejuvenating Night Oil. May be used every night. Not recommended for pregnant women, nursing mothers or anyone who finds it too irritating. Please use sunscreen daily, as retinoid products do have exfoliant properties. If irritation develops discontinue use and consult a physician. Keep in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
"And not all exfoliation has to be physical—you can also opt to use gentle vitamin A (AKA retinol) products as part of your nighttime ritual. 'I like those from Arcona or Marie Veronique,' Snyder adds."
"For green beauty lovers who aren't afraid to give real retinol a try, Marie Veronique makes a retinol serum, and Goop makes a face cream with retinyl palmitate."
"Kristina Holey's holy grail products: Marie Veronique Gentle Retinol Serum isn't going to strip the skin of its barrier oils and make it vulnerable, but you still get the benefits of vitamin A: increased collagen and cellular turnover, and decreased inflammation."
“...skincare products containing retinol are powerful and can irritate the skin, so we recommend finding a non-toxic solution that is gentle and effective. Retinol should only be used before bed as part of your night-time skin routine and daily use of sunscreen is essential while using it to prevent damage from the sun. Some of our favorite Clean options for serums with retinol are Marie Veronique Gentle Retinol Serum and Mad Hippie Serum.”
"This is not her Farmers Market skincare. Give her this highly active (yet gentle enough for sensitive, rosacea-prone skin) duo of power serums [Vitamins C+E+Ferulic Acid Serum+Gentle Retinol Night Serum] from skincare guru Marie Veronique, to arm her with a protective antioxidant arsenal during the day and a potent natural retinol at night. After a few weeks of using these two serums, all the other flower children at the food co-op will be commenting on her radiant skin."
"Many of you ask for a safer alternative to retinol creams and this would be it! I really love this Retinol Serum because it boosts collagen production, speeds up new cell turnover, and unclogs my pores which helps reduce the risk of blemishes."
