Oils are the optimal approach to cleansing in targeting congestion at its source, the pore's base, without dehydrating the skin. Our cleansers are engineered to support the health of the skin's microbiome and acid mantle, formulated without the  use of harmful preservatives and aggressive surfactants, so your skin feels soft and smooth.

The primary function of cleansing is to eliminate external residues. Cleansers are not intended to directly treat or control skin function. When massaged into the skin, oils and gentle surface-active agents work to dissolve sunscreen, makeup, and debris, while preserving the integrity of the lipid barrier.

When the skin’s pH becomes too alkaline, it can result in dryness, sensitivity, breakouts, and accelerated aging. The humectants in our mists and tonics work through a unique hydration mechanism that balances the liquid content of skin cells with the surrounding lipids. 

A critical factor in maintaining healthy skin is the regulation and support of a balanced acid mantle, which helps preserve the skin's optimal slightly acidic pH. Mists and tonics have a substantial impact in effectively priming the epidermal layers to enhance the absorption of nutrient-dense serums, resulting in plumper, more hydrated, and radiant skin.

As skin ages, it requires additional support and often targeted treatment. Our advanced actives are carefully formulated to penetrate the skin efficiently, delivering key ingredients where they are most needed and can be customized based on skin condition and goals. You can think of them as your skin’s daily dose of vitamins that address specific concerns like hyperpigmentation, inflammation, breakouts, age delay, and overall balance.

All actives are formulated to penetrate and deliver the ingredients to where they need to go, and work synergistically with each other, so the order you apply them does not matter.

The key to having luminous skin has to do with our lipid layer, which not only influences the appearance and feel of the skin, but also serves as both a protective layer from the environment and the food source for resident microbes. For most people, issues with oil (breakouts, dry skin, etc.) are not due to the quantity of sebum produced but instead the quality (i.e. greasy and viscous). We include lipids naturally found in the skin’s stratum corneum — ceramides, cholesterol and essential fatty acids — which aid in proper barrier function and comfort.

When using our highly concentrated emulsions, which are thicker in texture than our other serums, almost like a light cream. These products are also intended to nourish, regulate, and stimulate, and are best applied after your oil.

The #1 thing to know about your skincare regimen is that sunscreen is imperative for age delay and promoting long term skin health (and preventing skin cancer). We need protection not only when outside in direct sun but also while inside and in front of our computers. Physical blocking agent zinc oxide (adequate levels of non nano, and uncoated) is the only completely natural sunscreen agent that provides safe protection against premature aging because it reflects UV, HEV, and infrared radiation that damages cells via free radical generation. Make sure you apply sunscreen generously over the entire face, neck, and chest.
