A NEW ERA OF SKIN AGENCY

SENOLYTICS: A NEW CLASS OF LONGEVITY INGREDIENTS

Senolytics are an emerging class of longevity-focused compounds studied for their ability to selectively target senescent cells—aging or stressed cells that have stopped dividing but remain active and can release inflammatory signals that affect surrounding cells.

Cellular senescence is one of the key biological drivers of aging. Often called “zombie cells,” senescent cells malfunction and disrupt healthy communication, releasing senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). Research shows the accumulation of senescent cells creates inflammation, the root cause of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and impaired barrier function.

Rather than simply adding more to the system, senolytics take a targeted approach to these age-altered cells, helping create conditions that support healthier cellular function and greater resilience over time, allowing skin to behave more like it did when it was younger.

Fisetin is a naturally occurring flavonoid found in fruits and vegetables that has been widely studied in longevity research for its ability to selectively target senescent, or aging and stressed, cells. Research shows fisetin may help support healthier cellular function, antioxidant defense, and resilience over time.

Fisetin is highly unstable and susceptible to degradation, especially in the presence of water, making effective topical formulation challenging. Because Senolytic Balm is anhydrous, its fisetin does not require encapsulation. For Senolytic Serum, through published research conducted in collaboration with Portland State University's Department of Physics, we developed a unique encapsulation system designed to protect fisetin from degradation and improve its stability for topical delivery.

    Balm vs Serum

Senolytic Serum and Senolytic Balm are designed to complement one another. The lightweight Serum provides a more targeted approach to supporting cellular longevity, while the Balm builds on that approach with lipid nourishment, antioxidant protection, and barrier support.

Senolytic Balm PM, as the final step in your regimen
Senolytic Serum PM, after cleansing and toning

    Why use both?

The formulas are designed to play different roles. Senolytic Serum provides targeted cellular longevity support, while Senolytic Balm broadens that approach with antioxidant protection, collagen support, and intensive barrier nourishment. Layer together for a more comprehensive approach to visible aging.
