    ABOUT MARIE VERONIQUE

    Marie-Veronique Nadeau is a chemist who founded Marie Veronique in 2002. An inventor at heart who suffered from teenage acne, she was moved to create her own products when she could find nothing on the market that was clean and effective to address her rosacea. From there, she went on to develop a line for acne and was one of the first to formulate a non-nano zinc oxide sunscreen. She continues to lead the way towards safe yet effective skincare, determined to move an industry ensconced in hype into the realm of science. She is a trained esthetician, holds degrees in Math and Science, and is a former high school chemistry teacher. She collaborates with her daughter, Jay Nadeau, physicist and bio-medical engineer, to carefully choose each ingredient in her products to solve real skin issues and address the causes of aging at the source. 

    Our vision at Marie Veronique is to deliver superior, non-toxic skincare drawing on nature’s genius and the brain of science through innovative formulations. Achieving optimal skin health and healing real skin issues drive us to produce safe products that truly work.

    As a renowned chemist with 20+ years of formulation experience, it may seem surprising that Marie Veronique Nadeau does not use her namesake cleanser, preferring yogurt instead. Yogurt helps to gently exfoliate, provide essential triglycerides for moisture, as well as microbial balance with Streptococcus thermophilus and other commensal live cultures. 

    For this reason yogurt is the one DIY skincare product we stand behind for cleansing, and suggest you entrust MARIE VERONIQUE for your more technical topicals.

    Zoe Dering is an artist living and working in the Bay Area, CA. She creates heirloom pieces intended for daily use and communal celebration. Her work follows an evolution of themes that often draw inspiration from architecture, nature and the ancient world.

      Ceramic Delights

      When this handcrafted ceramic set was offered, immediately ordered one because I too use yogurt to cleanse my face; and knew that the precious creations would sell out quickly. Here's the caveat: Other than looking at the set and later bringing it out to show a dear friend when she visited and was introduced to Marie Veronique, it has remained in its pristine tissue and cotton bag, because my family home was in the middle of an intense remodel when it arrived. And now, not sure I can use the adorable bowl & spoon for skincare, but perhaps as a sacred way to eat petite portions of nourishing yougurt and berries with Manuka honey; or to mix up other special blends in the kitchen. ;-) we'll see. Thanks also for the recipe. If another series is run, may I suggest pale blue? Thank you, HC
